Dancing is natural expression of your body. Your body understands rhythm naturally, and can move with music. Dancing is a natural ability for all of us. Dancing flows out from the depths of our souls. It's a way of expressing feelings and experiences with your body. You can express yourself with language of body and motions. You can dance for your own joy and pleasure; you can let your body move, and enjoy the beauty of dancing.
This page is about releasing the natural expression of your body. Our bodies collect all kind of limits and inhibitions during our lives. They can be felt as stiffness in our bodies, and they can make dancing hard and difficult. These inhibitions can be released. Release your body to its natural state, and dance for your own joy. It will be then your own dance, and it will flow directly from within you.
Creative dancing is dancing freely, without any rules or learned moves. It is dancing in the present, at this moment, expressing immediately everything that flows within you. Every dance can be new and different. Every dance will flow directly from within. It will become the expression yourself, as well as all of your feelings and experiences.

One of the greatest blocks for the natural dance are our suppressed emotions. During our lives, we have prevented many times our bodies to express our feelings. We have suppressed natural movements of our bodies, and gathered stiffness and inhibitions into our muscles. Release all those feelings, and you will release your body from all limiting inhibitions. Let your body move along your feelings, and express them all with your dance.
Begin this practice by trembling. Stand still, and shake your whole body. Make yourself tremble from head to feet. This will relax your stiffness, and release all inhabitations. Shake yourself until you feel your body to let go and become loose. Now begin to dance. Dance and express all your feelings when they come to you, just as they are. Express yourself truthfully and freely. Emotions will find their shape and movement in your body, and express themselves trough you.
Dance the dance of sorrow and pain. Dance and express all your pain, your sorrow and misery. Express all your anger and hatred by dancing like a wild beast. Dance all your fears and your helplessness. Express all those feelings by movements of your body. Dance and bring out everything that wants to expressed and experienced. Express them with your whole body, your whole being. Every position and every movement will express feelings inside of you.
You will find the natural expression of your body this way. Dance helps you to express your inner feelings. You can express all your new experiences, and feel the memories of your past once again. You can dance this way each day, and go through everything you felt and experienced during that day. This way you will find freedom for your body and its expression. Emotions will flow freely in you, and your body will express them naturally.
Playful dance
Unnecessary seriousness is one of the common reasons for stiffness and difficulties in dancing. We might fear to appear ridiculous. Because that, we avoid all those movements that might appear as funny or laughable. We try then to move as we were serious and dignified. We will limit our movements because of that, and suppress our natural expression. Find your playfulness again, and free yourself from the fear of being laughed at.
Play with dancing. Let your inner child to come out, and move freely and innocently. Play and explore new things. Dance all funny dances; try all ways to have fun with the dance. Dance and jump around the room. Dance a chicken dance, and act like a dancing chicken. Make up funny dances, and have fun with strange movements and patterns. Play the fool, and learn to laugh at yourself. Dance can also be just pure fun.
Dance for others
We often take great care about how we look in the eyes of others. We may fear that our dancing will look as bad or something strange and weird. This fear of criticism, as well as desire for the praise, is always present, even when you are dancing alone. Even when you try to dance for our own joy, it might still bother you. You will start to worry about how other people will see your dancing.
When we begin to dance for appearances, we will then think about how it looks outside, instead of how it feels inside. Iinner dance, natural dance, is born from what we feel within in our hearts. We will dance our feelings from inside to outside. We express what we feel within us. When we think about outside appearances, we will lose our inner feeling. Our dance will then flow from the outside of us. It will be just show for others, and it will be no longer your own, true dance.
Find your inner dance again. Liberate creative dance, your true self-expression. Dance will come from your heart, and no longer depends on the thoughts of others. Free yourself from fear of criticism, and experience the total freedom expression. That fear can be overcome by facing it directly. Way to the freedom goes trough fear. When you are free of fears and limitations, you will find again the joy and fun of dancing.
Use your imagination for this. Imagine the critical crowd around you, and how it will follow your every movement. Image all those people, gathered around you to watch only you. Feel their eyes on you. Dance as badly as you can, and do all possible mistakes. Dance weirdly and strangely. Dance all those ways you do not wish others to see. Accept all those emotions you feel inside now. Express then trough your dance, express your fear and anxiety. Free yourself from them with your dance.
Allow your body to move naturally, and release all inhibitions and tensions. Your body will begin to fly, and break free of all chains and limitations. Creative self-expression, creative dancing, is creating the dance at this very moment. It is expression of emotions openly and naturally. You can express your self with the dance, and every movement of your heart with every movement of your body.
Inner dance
Inner dance flows deep from within. True dance flows directly from heart. When we dance for our own joy, only thing that matters is how it feels inside. Find your inner dance, your open and innocent self-expression. Dance along your inner feelings and experiences.
Move slowly with the rhythm of music. Sense your inner feelings. Take everything you feel and experience inside into your dance. Express them with your body. When you begin to think what it looks like, always return to this inner feeling. Create connection between your emotions and expression of your body. Open inside of you connection that will express every movement of your heart in your dance. This is true and genuine self-expression.
Dance of seduction
A human body is sensual and sexual. We are sexual beings, yet expression of it is one of the things we are learned to suppress with our bodies. We might be trying to avoid unwanted attention, or just to appear as sexual. When we dance, we may try not to look seducing or sensual. Our movements and expression will then become limited.
You can go through this obstacle. You can find again a natural charm of your body. You can learn to understand your own sensuality and expression of sexuality. Dance the dance of seduction. Dance erotically, enjoying your own body. Dance slowly, seducing with each movement. Experience the sensuality of your being. Dance teasingly, invitingly, seducing. Find again joy and sensuality of your body and dance.
Dance of expression
We can express our feelings and experiences with the dance. We can express the beauty of music. We can dance about the joy of living, or we can dance our sorrows and pains. Body can experience emotions trough the dance and express inner visions by movements. We can experience them deeper by dancing them.Express music with your body. Listen the rhythm and tune, sense the melody and feel words in your heart. Dance with the tune, empathize the rhythm of music. Allow music flow through you, and make your body to dance. Let your body to move on its own way. Put your soul into the music and mood. Surrender to the music, and interpret it in your own way. Change music into the movement and dance. Express everything that music awakens within you.
You can express with dance all those emotions and inner visions you wish to experience more deeply, or wish to convey to others. Remember experience or feeling you wish to dance. Recall it in your mind, and take position where you can feel it at the most strongest. Body has its own memory, and it can recall all experiences and emotions. Begin your dance from this position, and express it with your movement. Live that experience again trough dancing. Convey it to other people. All feelings, experiences and visions can be expressed and conveyed with dance.
